PLA, or Polylactic Acid, is a commonly used thermoplastic material that does not require the use of a heated print bed. Blending a mixture of plant-based materials and polymers creating Kiwi3D PLA filament, making this material more environment-friendly compared to ABS. Lower melting temperatures and lack of warping, PLA filament also retains its colour vibrancy and is a common choice for displays or household prints.

Filament is vacuum sealed in a resealable zip lock bag with a desiccant pack.

  1. Sam

Great product! We highly recommend this filament as well as the other 2. This is our second favorite behind the Cherry wood PLA.
Sands like wood smells like wood, must be wood!
We print at 0.2mm with a fat 0.8mm nozzle. Then a light file to get the surface slightly roughed, then P320+ fine > sandpaper till all smooth. Next, we paint it with MINWAX PolyShades – Mission Oak -and let it dry overnight.
Last but not least>> spray it with RUST-OLEUM painter’s touch CLEAR GLOSS, we try for 3 – 5 coats. That’s HOW WE DO IT!
