Kiwi3D filament is engineered for beginners right through to professionals. Our filament is manufactured to strict tolerances and the highest quality standards, ensuring smooth, precision printing on all 3D printers. So no matter what kind of 3D printing project you’re working on, Kiwi3D has the filament to get it done.

PLA, or Polylactic Acid, is a commonly used thermoplastic material that does not require the use of a heated print bed. Blending a mixture of plant-based materials and polymers creating Kiwi3D PLA filament, making this material more environment-friendly compared to ABS. Lower melting temperatures and lack of warping, PLA filament also retains its colour vibrancy and is a common choice for displays or household prints.

Filament is vacuum sealed in a resealable zip lock bag with a desiccant pack.

  1. Sam

Great product! We highly recommend this filament as well as the other 2. this is our favorite, can really look like full real wood.
We print at 0.2mm with a fat 0.8mm nozzle. Then a light file to get the surface slightly roughed, then P320 > sandpaper till smooth. Next, we paint/wipe or sponge it with MINWAX PolyShades – Mission Oak -and let dry, then spray with RUST-OLEUM painter’s touch CLEAR GLOSS or SATIN. That’s HOW WE DO IT!

Highly recommend for anyone looking for an authentic wooden look. Colour is right on the money, and the wood additives really give it a certain something that just makes it that right texture. Only complaint is that it doesn’t print so well at sizes less than 0.2mm (wood additives jam the extruder, in my experience), but that’s just the cost of getting that wood finish, and the more visible layers add a wood grain effect anyway. Also came with a resealable bag, which is perfect for keeping filament dry. Will be buying more in future, especially from Kiwi 3D.
